Task Happens: a fast, keyboard-first Kanban board for small teams
Your hands stay home.
Every action on a card has a key, and the keys are the same everywhere. Point at a card or select it, then press. Nothing in the app is mouse-only.
Forget one? ⌘K opens a palette of every action.
Your move is already there.
You press the key and the card is in the next column.
The server catches up in the background.
Two of you reorder the same column at once, and you both end up looking at the same order.
One board, everyone on it.
Small teams run business and development work from the same board: shipping a feature, chasing an invoice, planning a launch. Task Happens keeps everyone current without becoming a second job.
Live, no refresh
Moves, edits and new cards from your teammates land on your board as they happen. Nobody asks where the refresh button is.
Capture, assign, known about
Make a card mid-conversation, assign it, and the person it lands on finds out in their inbox, not by noticing it later.
Talk on the card
Threaded comments, @mentions and reactions, a body written in Markdown, and watchers for the cards you care about.
Roles, privacy, guests
Administrators, members and guests. Make a board private, or invite a client to exactly one board and nothing else.
See who is looking
Presence shows who is on a board right now. It follows people actually looking, not tabs left open.
Everything a card needs.
- Labels
- Shape and color, never color alone.
- Due dates
- Soon and overdue states, filterable.
- Priority
- Low to urgent. None is its own state.
- Checklists
- With a count on the card.
- Assignee
- One key takes a card or gives it up.
- Conversation
- Markdown, threads and reactions.
- The board
- Filters, undo, multi-select, archive.
- Columns
- Rename, move, collapse, set limits.
There is no wiki, no sprint planning and no velocity chart. It is a board.
